Foundation named as beneficiary of Connie’s Bakery!

The Breadwinners Foundation is incredibly proud and grateful to announce that it has been named as one of the Charitable Partners of Connie’s Bakery in Mt. Kisco, New York.

Connie’s Bakery & General Store, located at 41 S. Moger Avenue in Mt. Kisco, has been offering hand made baked goods of the finest quality to the Westchester County region and beyond for a number of years. However, what sets them apart from other bakeries in the area is their dedication to supporting local charities. Each year Connie’s selects six local non-profits as their Charitable Partners, and distributes 100 percent of the bakery’s profits equally among them in an incredible offer of support.

In the past, organizations such as Riverkeeper, Friends of Karen, Open Door Family Medical Centers, College Careers Fund of Westchester and Green Chimneys among others have been named as Charitable Partners, and this year we are honored to announce that The Breadwinners Foundation will join this illustrious group.

We ask that our supporters please consider using Connie’s to purchase any baked goods or other items that you may need. Not only does Connie’s offer superb products, but they are committed to combating local unemployment through their apprenticeship program. The bakery offers unemployed individuals the opportunity to train under a master baker, gaining valuable experience and skills that they can use to pursue a culinary career. Furthermore, Connie’s sets an incredible example for other businesses by paying their employees a living wage, and whenever possible supporting small farmers and local craftsmen.

For more information about Connie’s Bakery and General Store, please feel free to visit their website: www.connies.org or you can reach them by phone at 914-242-2014. They can handle a variety of orders and have flexible means of delivery for those outside of the Westchester County area.
