Hopes, Dreams and Tears

J. dreamed that someday his band would become so successful that his family would never have to worry about money. But in the meantime, he had a wife and three young daughters to provide for, so he took a second job driving a cab to make sure that ends would always meet. Tragically, it was this determination to provide for his family that was his downfall. John was shot from behind by a passenger in a brutal act of random violence, and his wife was left to raise three young children on her own. Before she could even begin to mourn the loss of the man she loved, B. had to struggle with the demands of being a single mother of three heartbroken little girls. Fighting with all of her might to keep her family afloat, she forced herself to smile in front of her daughters, even though the realization that without J., there wasn’t even enough money for rent made her want to cry.
