A Helping Hand When Tragedy Strikes
When a primary breadwinner dies and there are little or no resources, the crisis can cause overwhelming difficulties for a family. Forced to confront immediate financial strain, they are at risk of plunging into economic hardship and poverty. For more than fifteen years, The Breadwinners Foundation has offered a helping hand, assisting families with short term financial support such as medical expenses, mortgage payments, funeral costs, childcare fees and other basic needs when they tragically lose their primary source of income. Established by Keith J. Ahlers after his brother died suddenly, leaving his young family without financial resources, the organization is funded entirely by contributions from people in communities across the United States. The foundation strives to help families restore stability and offers hope as they work to overcome this private heartbreak. |
